  • Adam R. Sumel
    Chairman

    Mr. Sumel has 26 years of marketing, sales and management experience. In his role as Sonoro’s Founder and CEO (prior to becoming Chairman), Mr. Sumel gained broad experience in investment and finance. Mr. Sumel has been the driving force behind the creation and development of Sonoro and its divisions. During his experience in all aspects of business, Mr. Sumel has earned awards and has built and maintained long-term strategic relationships both in Canada and internationally.

  • David E. Coe

    Mr. Coe was Chief Executive Officer of Dairyland for sixteen years from 1986 to 2001. From 1981 until he became CEO, Mr. Coe was Operations Manager and then Chief Operating Officer of Dairlyand. Mr. Coe helped grow the company from a regional organization into a national company with plants from coast to coast, its own national brands, over 3,400 employees and sales that grew from $180 million to $1.7 billion. Throughout his career, Mr. Coe has served on a number of industry, company & cultural boards and clubs, as well as being a board member and President of the Terminal City Club in Vancouver. He has also served an unprecedented two terms as the Chairman of Canada’s National Dairy Council. In 1998 he was listed by the Financial Post as one of the top 200 CEOs in Canada and one of the top 20 in British Columbia.

  • Brian Farrell
    Chief Financial Officer

    Mr. Farrell is a chartered accountant with 25 years of experience in Alberta. Mr. Farrell is extremely active in the business community in Alberta and is a partner in the firm of Meyers Morris Penny LLP. Mr. Farrell is also Chief Financial Officer of both Prize Mining Corporation and Mexican Silver Mines Inc.

  • Roderick O. McElroy
    Director

    Dr. McElroy is a process technology specialist with over 30 years of experience ranging from laboratory and pilot-scale test work (B.C. Research, 1970-1988) through to industrial scale feasibility assessment, design and plant operations (Fluor Daniel Wright Ltd., 1988-2002). Dr. McElroy’s key technology areas at SONIC include test work, design for successful commercialization, project execution, critical evaluation of technology opportunities and the sourcing of cost-effective engineering and other technical services.

  • Richard Wadsworth
    President & Chief Executive Officer

    Mr. Wadsworth has more than 18 years of successful experience in developing heavy oil projects. He has been involved in various projects where there was little production, poor infrastructure or markets for heavy oil, growing them into significant assets through his vision and operational strengths. He was Co-Founder, President and COO of Bankers Petroleum Ltd. (“Bankers”), an oil and gas exploration, development and production company listed on the TSX & AIM, from its inception in 2004 until August 2008. During this period, he led Bankers in re-developing its heavy oilfield, building a comprehensive team, the necessary infrastructure and external relationships resulting in reserves growing to over 150 million barrels and production from 500 bopd to over 6,000 bopd.

    Mr. Wadsworth previously led and managed a joint venture company for the initial exploitation of the current Bankers oilfield in Albania on behalf of Premier Oil Plc and its three international E&P partners. Previously, he held various roles within Koch Petroleum Canada over 9 years mainly in the heavy oil sector. Mr. Wadsworth is also a Director for Gallic Energy Ltd., a junior public oil & gas company with international assets. Mr. Wadsworth holds a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Calgary, and is a registered Professional Engineer with APEGGA.
