Richard Wadsworth
Director, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Wadsworth has more than 18 years of successful experience in developing heavy oil projects. He has been involved in various projects where there was little production, poor infrastructure or markets for heavy oil, growing them into significant assets through his vision and operational strengths. He was Co-Founder, President and COO of Bankers Petroleum Ltd. (“Bankers”), an oil and gas exploration, development and production company listed on the TSX & AIM, from its inception in 2004 until August 2008. During this period, he led Bankers in re-developing its heavy oilfield, building a comprehensive team, the necessary infrastructure and external relationships resulting in reserves growing to over 150 million barrels and production from 500 bopd to over 6,000 bopd.
Mr. Wadsworth previously led and managed a joint venture company for the initial exploitation of the current Bankers oilfield in Albania on behalf of Premier Oil Plc and its three international E&P partners. Previously, he held various roles within Koch Petroleum Canada over 9 years mainly in the heavy oil sector. Mr. Wadsworth holds a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Calgary, and is a registered Professional Engineer with APEGA.

Dick ter Avest
President & Chief Operating Officer

Mr. ter Avest has twenty years of international oil and gas experience, of which 14 years were spent with Shell in several senior management roles in the Middle East, Europe and Asia Pacific. He was recently the CEO of Advanced Well Technologies and prior to that was with Woodside Energy and Shell. His accomplishments include growing Petroleum Development Oman's "("PDO") Qarn Alam assets, doubling production to 90,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) within 3 years, leading field development of a US$1 billion offshore oilfield for Woodside Energy, and restarting the stranded 400 million barrel Vincent heavy oil offshore field with Woodside. Mr. ter Avest has also successfully led oil and gas field acquisitions and divestments with values up to US$500 million.

Christopher Atkinson
Director & Audit Chair

Mr. Atkinson is a professional geologist with over 28 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas sector, with experience ranging from working for major oil companies to developing and financing start-up companies. He was co-founder, Chief Operating Officer and then Advisor to the Board of Serica Energy plc (“Serica”). While Chief Operating Officer, Serica drilled three wildcat exploration wells and one appraisal well – all discoveries – representing approximately 100 million barrels of reserves. Mr. Atkinson started his career as a geologist with Shell International in the Netherlands. Subsequently, at Atlantic Richfield Company (“ARCO”), he was directly responsible for major successes in Indonesia as well as discoveries in Europe. Mr. Atkinson was subsequently appointed Vice President of Exploration for ARCO Europe/North Africa before launching his own start-up ventures in SE Asia, Canada and the Caribbean. Mr. Atkinson holds both BSc and PhD degrees in Geology from the University of Wales, Swansea.

Jesse Meidl
Director & Audit Chair

Mr. Meidl has over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas sector. He is Chief Financial Officer of Caithness Petroleum Limited (“Caithness”), a private international energy company, headquartered in London, England. Prior to joining Caithness, he was an investment banker in the International Oil & Gas group of Thomas Weisel Partners in London. Mr. Meidl was previously the Chief Financial Officer for Arsenal Energy Inc., an international exploration company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, which held production assets in Canada and the USA and exploration assets in Egypt, Colombia and Uzbekistan. Prior to that, Mr. Meidl was an Analyst at APF Energy Trust. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in Calgary, where he specialized in oil and gas exploration and production and services. He also holds the ICAEW Corporate Finance qualification and a B.Comm. degree from the University of Saskatchewan.

Richard Monbaillard
Director

Mr. Monbaillard has over 35 years of experience in international oil and gas exploration, production and power.  Mr. Monbaillard's career has spanned various senior positions, including technical, negotiation, project development, asset management and leadership, of which 25 years were in exploration and production and 12 years in gas and power with Elf and Total.  He has held senior E&P positions in North Africa, West Africa and the Middle East.  Mr. Monbaillard has also held a lead role in worldwide acquisitions and joint ventures.

Kirk Donaldson
Director

Mr. Donaldson is a senior financial industry professional with over 17 years of experience in new business and client development, financial services and asset management.  Mr. Donaldson founded Quidnet Capital Partners, an investment fund specializing in global macro opportunities and currently serves as non-executive Chairman.  He is also currently CEO, Americas of  RMJM, one of the world's leading architectural and design companies.  In addition to those responsibilities at RMJM, Mr. Donaldson serves as Chairman of the Board of the RMJM subsidieary YRM, a leading nuclear, technology and energy design firm.  Prior to these positions, Mr. Donaldson served as Vice President at Morgan Stanley leading the international investor and retirement inestments business within the private investments group in New York City.  Previously, he was Senior Vice President and head of the Global Wealth Management Group at Merrill Lynch overseeing private and institutional assets.  In addition to his domestic and international investment and project experience, Mr. Donaldson is President of the Bond Club of New York.
